Hello and welcome. My name is Carrie Joy Byrnes. I am a self taught artist. Aside from one University art class; I have learned how to paint and draw from other art, books and a lot, lot, lot of trial and error. I love painting and find it is a good way to access the present moment. I paint in layers to achieve depth and emotion through color and form. I am always learning and trying out new techniques. I glean much inspiration from other art and studying the masters. Most of my art is an attempt to fuse the outer world with inner vision.
I am a full time artist currently living in North Carolina with my husband, dog and cat.
