I felt I wouldn't be able to match a patron's vision. However, I started doing commissions this year and it has been a remarkable experience. I get emails from buyers with ideas and excitement about the art and I just love to hear these wonderful ideas. When I talk to buyers about what they would like to see in general or when I create a specific commissioned piece the energy around the work grows and so does the creativity. Please feel free to email me and talk about what your visions are--- I love to hear them. Following are some practical details of how commissions work. At the bottom of the page are two recent commissions. Contact me with your idea for a piece. We agree on a price and size and then I get started. I can email pictures of the process as I go. I will email you a picture of the final product before I varnish. This way you get a chance to make suggestions. Following is a rough guideline for pricing based on the square inch.
